Summer's New Home

9 days....

We've dipped into the single digits...can you BELIEVE IT? Got more paperwork on the John Laing/Wells Fargo Loan...we're not impressed, and believe we'll stick with Jen at Crestline... She's provided the best customer service. It appears, not only is she beating JLH's closing costs, even when considering the 3,000 dollar incentive JLH was providing, but she's been on the ball, very open with all the details of the process, willing to answer questions immediately and thoroughly (EVEN WHILE ON VACATION!) and we just plain had a better experience with her overall! If anyone is looking to (re)finance a home in Colorado, let me know and I'll share her info with you, she Rocks!

So, that basically means, sticking with her, the financing will come through on time (Yeah, John Laing's Financer is threatening the closing date could be pushed back due to time constraints...which I blame squarely on them) and we'll be moving in NEXT Thursday...YAY!!!

So, about the house...no pics to share tonight, not much to show, unless I wanted to show the nitty-gritty details...because that's what they're mostly working on. Touching up paint problems, dents/nicks here and there, etc... The house is actually coming along nicely. I even got a call from the new home counselors asking if there is anything we noticed...I listed 3 or 4 things...forgot a couple others, but they got at least one of those so far. So we're getting there. They also got a layer of varnish or another layer of stain (whatever) on the flooring...There was another note on the door saying to stay off until today...so, we figure tomorrow is last touch-ups and getting the appliances back in place and then Thursday they have cleaners, maybe? Or maybe that's AFTER the walk-through? But, our walk-through is scheduled for 2PM....so, I'll probably get up a post Thursday night discussing how that went.

Talk to you then!

  • How exciting! I can't believe your home is almost ready. Can't wait to see how it looks after you've had time to settle in and decorate. More importantly, can't wait for you to settle in so I can start bugging Jess abt when I can fly out for a visit! :D
